Gretchen Sumpter Irwin is a Licensed Massage Therapist Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Her most recent completed course of study was a six hundred hour course at Orler School of Massage Therapy Technology. Gretchen began her career in 1991 after completing massage training at Harbin Hot Springs School of Shiatsu and Massage in Middleton California.
Gretchen's sense of adventure and her love of nature took her to Alaska where she lived, practiced massage and met her husband. Gretchen and her husband have raised five children together. The many life experiences from traveling and living in Alaska have enriched her sense of well-being.
In 2005 Gretchen was diagnosed with breast cancer. She and her family moved to Seattle for better health care for eighteen months. While in Seattle, she had complimentary health care as well as chemo, radiation and surgery. The complimentary health care was a very important part of her healing....supplements, yoga, meditation, and of course...massage!
Gretchen was raised in the Joplin area until she was a teenager. She moved "back home" in 2007 after surviving cancer to be near her family.
Gretchen is certified in Swedish Esalen Massage, Deep Tissue, Prenatal Massage, Geriatric Massage, Sports Massage and Reflexology.
Gretchen strongly believes in the value of the health benefits of massage therapy and bodywork. She encourages you to experience it for deep relaxation or for those of you who wish to be proactive in addressing their health conditions. Gretchen's intention is to help you to feel better in body, mind and spirit.
Abbey Richards is a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor, and is currently an intern at Studio One Pilates in Springfield. Abbey holds a BFA in Modern Dance and Minor in Arts Administration from Texas Christian University, and is currently working on her pre-requisites for Physical Therapy at Missouri State University. Abbey recently moved back to Springfield from the Dallas/Fort Worth area, where she taught pilates at Equinox Fitness Club.

Carol Stauffer is a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor. She found a passion for Pilates at Yin. She realized Pilates was a wonderful way to experience total body fitness. The private sessions were a challenging experience which taught her great body awareness and coordination, nothing like she had ever experienced before. She is an avid runner and cyclist, who likes golf, tennis, hiking and most all outdoor sports. She soon realized how great a role core strength plays in all sports and certainly enjoys the addition of Pilates to her personal training, so much as to share it with everyone she can.
Kitty McCulley is a STOTT PILATES® Trained Instructor. Kitty started her Pilates career at Yin in 2006. She will be offering a 20/20/20 class this summer. This class will include 20 minutes on the Spin bike, 20 minutes of mat Pilates and 20 minutes of flexibility.
